A good title for customers to open our email

I have sent our e-mails and wonder why they don’t open them. Here are item’s I pick-up recently.  By good title, we are referring to the subject line of your email and not making additions to your name in the "From" field. Remember, no one is interested in who you are or your title. They are very interested in solving their own problems and getting what they want.

You want your subject line to be reflective of the content within the email. Refrain from using bait-and-switch tactics. Your prospects won't appreciate sneaky tactics like, that and it will tarnish your personal brand.  Ultimately, your subject line needs to get your prospect's attention and it needs to get them to click it.

And as a recipient of one of your emails, your prospect is going to be doing a few things in order to maximize their time:

      1. They are going to look at the sender to determine the relative importance of the email. Familiar names are going to receive precedence.
      2. They are going to look at the subject line. Some email programs provide snippets of the email body. So to accommodate the most viewers, your subject line needs to fit in that 40 to 50 character space
      3. They are going to scan through subject lines. What's going to stand out are things that relate to their current concerns, questions that make them formulate an answer, subject lines that begin with "how to..."--\ So to get your prospect to click and open your email, keep these points in mind:

There have been some past questions about email in this forum. Take a look at some of those for additional ideas. Also, a good resource to have on hand is Joe Vitale's book, "Hypnotic Writing." You'll find some excellent ideas on composing emails and sales letters that get attention
